Mr. Bruce Crawford, 85, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at his home. 

Born Ralph Bruce Crawford, Dec. 22, 1937, in Macon Georgia, son of the late Ralph LeFever & Thelma Nettles Crawford. 

Educated in the LaGrange schools he graduated from LaGrange High School in 1955, where he was a Granger under Coach Oliver Hunnicutt. 

Furthering his education at University of Georgia, where he was a Bulldog and Treasurer of SAE fraternity. 

Later he entered. Emory Law School and Atlanta School of Law. 

A proud American serving his country in the United States Navy, first in officer’s candidate school in Newport Rhode Island, obtaining the rank of Lieutenant serving several Navy military ports with Antarctica being his favorite. 

Bruce was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He served on numerous boards and chaired the Troup County Airport Authority and Board of Tax assesors, also serving on the board of Citizens Bank of Hogansville. 

The owner of Crawford Realty and Insurance and Appraisal Services. 

Bruce’s widely versed expertise in law and real estate made him highly regarded by his colleagues in the business. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years: Mary Jo Gladden Crawford Sons and Daughters in law: Kyle William (Kim Hunnicutt) Crawford Jeb Callaway (Kennon Yarbrough) Crawford 4 Grandchildren: John Crawford, Taylor Crawford, Charles Crawford, Holden Crawford Sister-in-law: Marge (Bud) Moore  Brother-in-law: Johnny (Rebecca) Gladden Nieces and nephews: Claudia Gladden Cochran, Greg Moore, Cathy Moore Halbert, Jana Moore, John Gladden, Christopher Gladden, Jason Gladden, Nicholas Gladden. Preceding in death was also Julia Gladden Hartridge. A number of cousins and extended family.

Memorial Services for Mr. Bruce Crawford will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church, Broad Street LaGrange with The Reverend Hal Brady and The Reverend James Goodlet officiating. 

Military honors will be accorded at the conclusion of the Memorial service.
