Mrs. Ruby Florence Turner, (88), passed away at her residence on April 29, 2023.  

She was born in LaGrange on April 22, 1935, to the late Homer Turner and Eula Christine Turner.  

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Turner; her sons, Keith Turner and Michael Turner; her sister, Linda Lee Turner Fuller Camp. 

Mrs. Ruby Turner made a positive impact on many people in her life.  

Early in her life, she worked in the textile industry.  

She then had a wonderful career as a childcare worker helping shape many young lives.  

She remained in contact with many of the children she cared for the rest of her life.  She loved to talk on the phone to her family and friends. 

Mrs. Turner is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sharon Fuller-Wilson (Angela), Scott Lewis (Kay), Shane Bates (Terri), and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.  

She is also survived by her faithful puppy friend, Ginger. 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, Imalethia Arnold, her grandson Zach, and the other caregivers that worked so carefully to take care of Mrs. Turner’s needs. 

The funeral service will be held at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter-Allen-Myhand on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 3 P.M.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 P.M. until service time on Thursday.  

The committal service will directly follow the funeral and will be held at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange.  

Pastor Brandon Brooks will officiate the service.
