For coach Donnie Branch it was the second straight season in which he took home region coach of the year honors. Ace pitcher Trevor Booton, an Auburn commit, was named pitcher of the year for his dominance on the mound.

The Grangers had four players named to the first team — senior designated hitter Trey Cook, senior catcher Cole Garner, senior outfielder Seth Stargell and sophomore outfielder Gryson Cockrell.

LaGrange also had four players named to the second team — senior second baseman Preston Pressley, junior shortstop Robbie Parker, sophomore pitcher Caden Wood and sophomore outfielder Tanner Langley. Sophomore first baseman Cooper Stephens and was named to the honorable mention list.

The Grangers will be back in action in the state semifinals on Saturday with the first game of a doubleheader scheduled for 12 p.m.
