UPDATE: Suspect who ran into drainage pipe to avoid arrest taken into custody

UPDATE:  A man with warrants from another county was arrested Wednesday after running into a drainage pipe to avoid capture.

The LPD responded to the scene at Great Wolf Lodge in response to a domestic call involving the suspect, who was allegedly abusive to a woman and an infant, according to officers on the scene.

After police ran the suspect’s name and determined he had a felony warrant, he fled from officers.

No one was harmed in the incident.

There’s a heavy police presence near Great Wolf Lodge as officers try to locate a suspect that ran into a drainage pipe.

The LPD has used a drone and has a large perimeter set up near the end of Tom Hall Parkway near Great Wolf Lodge.

Sgt. Robert Hall with the LPD said the suspect, who has not been identified, has warrants out of another county. It was not immediately clear why LPD was called to the scene. Hall was on another call when the initial call came in.
