Mrs. Catherine Shealey Stiggers passed away Saturday at home in West Point, Georgia. She was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Chambers County, Alabama, to the late Deacon Turner Hudson, Sr. and Myrtis Smith Shealey.

At an early age, Catherine joined the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church,  and also served in Ministry at the Pillow of Truth in Lanett, Alabama and had an active membership with New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in West Point, Georgia.

She graduated from Lanier High School in Lanett, Alabama; and received Biblical Training from the Bryan Theological Seminary.

In 1950, she was united in Holy Matrimony to O.C. Stiggers, a union that produced seven children:  Carolyn, Ronald, Deborah, Norman, Ocie, Michael, and Jacobie; five generations, and endured for seventy-one years, until death did part them in Jan. 2021.

Survivors include her children:  Carolyn Stiggers Banks, Ronald T. Stiggers, Deborah Stiggers Arnold, Norman C. Stiggers,  Ocie Stiggers (Michael) Milner, Pastor Michael T. (Cheryl) Stiggers, Sr., grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Shealey; and one sister, Hazel Scott both of LaFayette, Alabama; an array of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The Service will be Friday at Noon in the Sanctuary of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

The excellent care of Mrs. Catherine Stiggers is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
