David Thomas Leak, Sr. passed away Sunday.

He was born Dec. 17, 1950, in Lumberton, North Carolina to Edgar Leak and Odessa Cash Leak.

David attended Drexel Catholic High School and Drexel Catholic Church in Atlanta, Georgia. 

He united with New Hope Baptist Church in Franklin, Georgia; and was previously employed by  Torrance Construction Company, LaGrange, Georgia.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Leak; four daughters:  Bridget Leak, LaGrange, Georgia; Kenya (Chris) Maddox, Loganville, Georgia; Melodie (Jovan) Edmondson, Franklin, Georgia; Nekita (Darren) Leonard, Sr., LaGrange, Georgia, and one son, David Leak, Jr., LaGrange, Georgia; grandchildren; great grandchildren; three sisters:  Shirley Smith, Riverdale, Georgia; Mary Rawlins, Decatur, Georgia; and Ruby Whaley, Decatur, Georgia; three sisters-in-law:  Mary (Jafus) Truitt, LaGrange, Georgia; Sylvia (Gary) Harris, Roanoke, AL; Brunette  Burden, Roanoke, AL; a brother-in-law, James Smith, Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The Service will be Tuesday at 2 P.M. at Loyd Presbyterian Church.

The excellent care of Mr. Leak is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
