Reginald Avery “Reggie” Hudson, 72, of LaGrange, passed away on May 26, 2023. 

He was born on July 16, 1950, to Marie Duckworth Hudson and the late Leroy Hudson in Tifton, Georgia. 

He was a Welding Instructor at West Georgia Technical College in LaGrange and later owned his own business, Weld Test Services.

Survivors include his wife, Lyndell Cole Hudson; son, Brandon Hudson (Sara Ann); stepchildren, Jimmy Bloodsworth (Heather), and Salena Ferrell;  grandchildren, Avery Elizabeth Hudson, Sara Adeline Hudson, Trey Bloodsworth, Jaden Bloodsworth, Hunter Bloodsworth, Gabrielle Burks, Jasmine Burks, Miya Burks, and Shane Burks;  great-grandchildren Eli Bloodsworth, Ja’Miya McCoy. Kaiden James, Malaiya Lovelace, Jaida Lovelace, Kelani Murphy, Joslyn Little, Khai Little, Justice Little, Brooklyn Burks, Brooklyn Burks, Londyn Burks, and Noah Burks; mother, Marie Hudson; brother, Ronald Hudson (Janet); sister, Jackie Clayton (Darrell); best friend/family, K.G. Bhachech; canine companion, Marley; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. 

In addition to his father, Leroy Hudson, he is preceded in death by his second wife, Sara Jett Hudson. 

The family will have visitation on June 2, 2023, at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand from 1 P.M. – 3 P.M. 

The Funeral Mass will be held the following day June 3, 2023, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in LaGrange, Georgia at 11 A.M. with Father Tim Gadziala officiating. 

Inurnment will follow the service at Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange, Georgia. 

The Mercy Meal will be held in the Parish Hall following the committal service.
