On September 9th, 2024, at 1702 hours, Officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded the 200 block of East Crovat Street in reference to shots fired at a person. A description of the suspect was provided to responding Officers and the subject was subsequently located at the intersection of East Crovat Street and Hamilton Street and was detained.

Officers conducted a show up at the location, and the suspect was identified by the victim as being the male who had confronted her with a gun and fired one shot at her.

An investigation was conducted and determined a verbal argument had started on the 200 block of East Crovat Street and resulted in Christopher Hill pointing a gun at the victim making threats to shoot her, and upon her retreat, approximately one round was fired by Hill in the direction of the victim. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident.

As a result, Christopher Hill was placed under arrest and advised he was being charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Hill was transported to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office for processing without further incident.
