Mrs. Elizabeth “Libby” Edwards, of LaGrange, passed away on January 31, 2025.
She was born in Cottonwood, Alabama, on May 10, 1935, to the late Milledge Dudley and Willie Mae Garner Dudley.
She was a member of Baptist Tabernacle, and an avid member of Active Life Senior Center. Mrs. Edwards was most known for her bright smile that would light up a room.
She and John owned several businesses, including Libby’s Country Cooking and O’Josh. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren knew no bounds. She always had time to play games with her great-grandchildren and built memories with her grandchildren that would last a lifetime.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards is preceded in death by her husband, John Edwards, her siblings, Carl Dudley, Junior Dudley and Ruby Schwinn.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Rosier (Bob), Brenda Leverett (Joe), and Duane Edwards (Lisa); her sibling, Bryant Dudley (Ann); her grandchildren, Nicolle Spitulnik (Evan), Gregory Schneider (Jake), Stacie Stover (Brad), Josh Edwards (Kristen Brooks), and Kendall Ham (Ray); and her great-grandchildren, Sophia, Cole, Ansleigh, Ava, and Anabelle.
The family will receive friends at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter-Allen-Myhand on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 6 PM until 8 PM. The funeral service will be held at Baptist Tabernacle on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 11 AM.
The committal service will directly follow the funeral and will be held at Restlawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Jimmy McMillian will officiate the service.
