A portion of Vernon Road near LaGrange College was temporarily closed on Monday afternoon after a police-involved vehicle collision.

Authorities say a LaGrange Police officer was responding to an officer requesting assistance call on Vernon Road when the collision occurred. The patrol vehicle was proceeding through the intersection on Vernon Road at Park Avenue when another car struck it from the side causing the patrol vehicle to flip over onto a third vehicle.

No serious injuries were reported but police say all three motorists involved were taken to the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center for evaluation.

This collision is still under investigation and more information will be provided when it becomes available.
