The Callaway girls soccer team cruised to an 11-5 region win over Westside (Macon).
Despite being a final score that was more in line with a baseball game, the Cavaliers were always in complete control of the match and rotated JV girls into the lineup with regularity.
Callaway was powered to victory by a pair of hat trick scorers. Both Becca Bryan and Sofia Flores finished with three goals apiece. Bryan, a transfer from Lafayette Christian, has quickly become a pivotal player for the Cavaliers.
Flores also added an assist to her tally.
Senior Bianka Sola also played a large part in the victory. She finished with two goals and three assists.
Isla Garcia also scored two goals in the evening.
Aliyah Vasquez and Trisha Patel scored a goal each for Callaway. Patel, Zoe Molina and K’mya Carter all finished with an assist.
Alayna Leithleiter made two saves on goal for the Cavaliers.
Callaway improved to 8-3 overall and 3-2 in region play. The Cavaliers will travel to Pike County for an important region matchup next Tuesday. Callaway lost 5-0 to the Pirates at home on Feb. 25.
