Downtown LaGrange just got a bit spicier with its new restaurant, Spice Wing.
On Wednesday, the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of Downtown LaGrange’s newest restaurant Spice Wing with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Spice Wing is located on Bull Street next to Splendid Events in the former LaGrange location of Copper Carrot.
Owner Anil Patel brought the franchise to LaGrange because of their concept on wings.
“It is a new franchise. I looked into it. They just have different spices and so much to choose from. It’s a very clean concept and something I just wanted to get into,” Patel said.
Patel is from Newnan but still owns several businesses in LaGrange. He currently owns and operates Pyne Road Sports Bar and recently sold Tall Tales Bait & Grocery after running it for 10 years.
Along with the restaurant’s extensive options for wings, they have four options for fries as well, standard French fries, waffle fries, potato wedges and curly fries.
Patel said they also plan to offer bottled beer soon but until then the restaurant is just a short walk from Wild Leap Brewery.
“We are a young franchise, and we love wings. We thought in small towns and locations all across Georgia, we would love to bring chicken wings there because we look around, we see there’s not a lot of options,” said Jesal Pandya of Spice Wing corporate.
“We know that the product speaks for itself. We love to serve chicken wings to everyone. That’s our passion,” Pandya said. “It’s really exciting that we have the opportunity to be able to be down here in Downtown LaGrange to serve everyone and show them that Spice Wing has the best wings in Georgia.”
“We learned a lot from Anil. He’s from this area, he knows the town and he showed us around everywhere. Honestly, the people are great. Everybody’s so nice, and it looks like they’re all looking for more food and different options,” Pandya said.
“There’s not too many options, so we thought Spice Wing would be a great addition. We live in the south where chicken wings are king,” he said.
