15-year-old arrested for aggravated assault after LPD called to residence

On Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 2131 hours, officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to 1235 Hogansville Road in reference to a suicide attempt.
When officers arrived, they located the 15-year-old female inside her apartment with her family. Further investigation found the 15-year-old had threatened to jump off the balcony after engaging in a physical fight with various family members.
During the fight, the 15-year-old armed herself with a knife, and slashed a 19-year-old female near her throat causing a minor, non-life-threatening injury. The 15-year-old was taken into custody for aggravated assault, use a knife during certain crimes, and felony obstruction.
