Between the hours of 9 p.m. on Saturday and 4 a.m on Sunday, Troup County was under a Tornado Watch. Shelters opened around the county for those in housing unfit for severe weather.

The county did see heavy rain and winds, however the storm shifted enough that Troup saw minimal damage where neighboring counties were heavily impacted.

According to Zac Steele, director of Troup County Emergency Management Agency, there were less than 15 trees down in the county and no reported tornado touchdowns.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City, whose coverage area includes Troup County, are still compiling reports of damage across Central Georgia.
