The LaGrange baseball team made it four wins in a row on Friday with a 10-0 victory over Sandy Creek.
The Grangers would draw first blood in the bottom of the first inning with Grady Westmorland scoring on a wild pitch.
LaGrange would completely blow the game open with six runs in the bottom of the third inning. It started with an error allowing two runs to score. Jackson Bozeman added a third run in the inning when he hit a one-run single. Bozeman would score on a passed ball later in the inning to give LaGrange a 6-0 lead. Rob Skinner legged out a triple to drive home the final run of the inning.
The Grangers tacked on three more runs in the fourth inning. Cooper Stephens started the scoring off with a one-run single. Sinjon Lash would hit an RBI triple and Kayden Sutton followed with an RBI single.
That would be enough for the Grangers as the game ended by mercy rule after the top of the fifth inning.
Caden Wood started on the mound for the Grangers and was superb in his four innings of work, striking out four while allowing just one hit. Caleb Allen had cleanup duty, pitching the final inning in which he struck out the side.
Sutton, Lash, Bozeman, Stephens and Skinner had a hit apiece for the LaGrange offense.
LaGrange improved to 13-6 overall and 7-1 in region play. The Grangers will have a pivotal region game at crosstown rival Troup next Tuesday.
