LaGrange Police are investigating the death of a young man found with a gunshot wound on Hearthstone Drive in LaGrange.

Police were called to a residence on Hearthstone Drive Friday evening around 6:16 p.m. A woman reported coming home and finding her son unconscious in the living room.

LPD Lt. John Slonaker said the young man had obvious trauma and officers began administering CPR but the victim was determined to be deceased at the scene.

Slonaker said the victim had a gunshot wound.

The victim’s identity has not been released at this time. Police believe he is 19 or 20 years old.

Police are currently on scene and this case is still under active investigation.
