Continuing its commitment to bringing quality live entertainment to the restored historic theater and the community, THE ROYAL THEATER announced today three shows to be presented this summer.
Kicking off the summer season will be multi-platinum country singer Collin Raye. He’s always been a great storyteller and built a career bringing interesting characters to life. Who can forget the struggling alcoholic in “Little Rock” or the devoted couple celebrated in “Love, Me?” Raye has placed more than 30 singles on the chart, including such No. 1 hits as “Love, Me, “In This Life,” “My Kind of Girl” and “I Can Still Feel You.” His debut album, All I Can Be, was the first of four consecutive albums released by Raye to achieve platinum certification in the United States signifying sales of one million copies each. Collin Raye will be up close and personal on the Royal Theater stage Saturday, June 21st.
Set for July 19th will be RAMBLE TAMBLE the Creedence Clearwater Revival Experience. With meticulous attention to detail, the musicians of Ramble Tamble have mastered the distinctive sound, harmonies, and stage presence that made Creedence Clearwater Rival one of the most influential bands of their time. From the swampy blues of “Born on the Bayou” to the infectious energy of “Fortunate Son,” Ramble Tamble faithfully captures the essence of CCR’s music, transporting audiences back to the golden age of rock ‘n’ roll.
The look, the sound, and the soul of the legendary Janis Joplin will come to the Royal Theater stage on Saturday, August 19th with CRYBABY. Nobody captures it all like vocal powerhouse Lisa Polizzi. Polizzi brings the spirit of Janis into the present day. This incredible show has been playing festivals and selling out venues paying tribute to the Queen of Blues Rock. Lisa’s soulful sound-alike voice belts out hit after hit including “Piece of My Heart”, “Ball & Chain” and “Me and Bobby McGee” in a heartfelt tribute performance.
Don’t miss this unforgettable experience that will have you dancing, singing, and feeling the magic of a bygone era all night long!
