On Tuesday, the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of Nola on Main with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new restaurant brings Cajun and Creole cuisine to LaGrange in the former location of the faux speakeasy, 86’d, on Main Street in Downtown LaGrange.

Nola on Main offers a unique dining experience inspired by New Orleans’ storied culinary tradition.

Nola on Main plans to combine Southern charm with the vibrant flavors of Louisina’s Cajun and Creole cuisine.

The menu includes made-from-scratch dishes, shrimp po-boys and fresh raw oysters to handcrafted drinks.

Owner Joshua Overkamp said their prime rib po-boy is particularly delicious.

Overcamp said that after 86’d closed, they were kicking around ideas for something to replace it, and they wanted to bring flavors to Downtown LaGrange that it is missing.

When the idea of Cajun and Creole style food came up, people seemed excited, Overcamp said.

Nola on Main is located at 109 Main Street in Downtown LaGrange.
