The Callaway baseball team was back at home on Thursday, earning a dominant 10-0 victory.

The Cavaliers would not take long to open the scoring with three runs in the bottom of the second. Jaxon Duncan singled to send two runs home, and an error allowed the third run of the inning to score.

Callaway was just getting started, adding two additional runs in the third inning. Two different errors allowed the two runners to reach home.

The Cavaliers would go on to completely blow the game open with four runs in the fourth inning. A Slade Hunt single sent home the first run of the inning. Hunt would score later in the inning on a wild pitch to give Callaway a 7-0 advantage. Gavin Bonner drove home the final two runs of the inning with a single.

Blake Harrington hit a one-run single in the fifth inning to end the game by mercy rule.

The game belonged to Harrington. The junior pitched a five-inning one-hitter in which he struck out four batters. Harrington also aided his cause from the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Duncan and Hunt had two hits apiece for Callaway while Bonner, Cass Fuller and Lashun Gates all finished with one each.

Callaway has now won five games in a row to improve to 11-6 overall and 3-2 in region play. The Cavaliers will return to action on Friday with a road rematch with Rutland.
