LaGrange boys tennis tops Columbus, girls fall in close match

The LaGrange boys’ and girls’ tennis teams were back in action on Tuesday after an extended layoff due to spring break. The boys topped Columbus 3-2, while the girls suffered a 4-1 loss. 

 

Girls’ Individual Results:

No. 1 Singles: Kate Greer (C) defeated Ana Rollings (LG) 6 – 2, 6 – 0

No. 2 Singles: Rachael Tillery (C) defeated Anna Claire Lumpkin (LG) 6 – 2, 6 – 1

No. 3 Singles: Dana Song (LG) defeated Katrina Hurt (C) 6 – 0, 6 – 0

No. 1 Doubles: Molly Gobbel and Haley Heard (C) defeated Ava Wallace and Elly Sanchez

(LG) 6 – 2, 6 – 4

No. 2 Doubles: Riley Faircloth and Elaine Lynch (C) defeated Madi Del Angel and Addison

Adams (LG) 4 – 6, 6 – 1, (10 – 7)

 

Boys’ Individual Results:

No. 1 Singles: Ethan Black (LG) defeated Mac Dickinson (C) 6 – 2, 6 – 2

No. 2 Singles: Jaiden Shah (C) defeated Brayden Lamb (LG) 2 – 6, 6 – 3, (10 – 6)

No. 3 Singles: Jahaan Dalsania (C) defeated Charlie Battle (LG) 6 – 1, 7 – 6 (7 – 4)

No. 1 Doubles: Noah Black and Jaehan Seol (LG) defeated Aadi Shah and Hasan Molvi (C)

4 – 6, 6 – 2, (10 – 4)

No. 2 Doubles: Sehun Seol and Brody Douhne (LG) defeated Rishi Thiruppathi and William

Brown (C) 6 – 2, 6 – 3

 

The LaGrange boys’ team is enjoying a remarkable season and is currently one of the top-ranked teams in 3A. The Grangers improved to 18-2 overall and remained 8-0 in the region. 

The girls fell to 12-8 overall with Tuesday’s loss.
