The LaGrange boys soccer team traveled down the road to Harris County on Tuesday and returned to Troup County with a comfortable 5-2 victory.

It was a cagey first half before Aidan Collins finally broke the deadlock when he scored with just over 10 minutes to go until halftime on an assist from Luis Morales.

Collins was just getting started and absolutely dominated the second half, finishing the game with a hat trick of goals and an assist.

Collins’ assist would come less than three minutes into the second half as he fed Jesus Samayoa, who scored to double the LaGrange advantage.

Five minutes after Samayoa’s goal, Collins scored on an assist from Brennan Connell to make it 3-0. The senior would cap off his hat trick with 26 minutes left to go in the game on an assist from Kenzo Sato.

The Tigers would score a pair of goals to cut the LaGrange lead down to 4-2 late in the game.

Brian Suburan put the game to bed with just over 10 minutes to play as the freshman scored the final goal of the night.

Asher Raley started in goal and made five saves for the Grangers.

LaGrange improved to 10-5 overall and remained 5-2 in region play. The Grangers will play Cairo at Southwestern University on Saturday at 4 p.m.
