Along with the eggs, the Easter Bunny is bringing community resources for families this year.

Troup County Family Connection Authority and Troup County Parks & Recreation are partnering to present the 2025 Family Expo and Egg Hunt on April 19.

The annual school readiness and child abuse awareness event will provide information on community resources for families.

The event will also include an Easter Egg Hunt for kids, along with raffle prizes, face painting, music and fun for the whole family.

Giveaways at the expo include much-needed supplies for families, including diapers, pull-ups, baby wipes, car seats, infant formula, baby food, pack & plays, toothbrushes and more.

“The idea is to have all agencies that support families in one spot,” said Michele Bedingfield, Board Chair for Troup Family Connection. “It’s just a fun way to bring community partners together that offer services.”

Information on a wide range of services will be available at the family expo.

“It can be anything from Harmony House providing education and awareness to The Jungle Bus,” Bedingfield said.

Families and their children are invited to attend and participate. Each agency typically has either fun games or interactive activities for kids or giveaways that parents can take home.

“It’s just a fun event for families to come out to and gather information about resources that are available in their community,” Bedingfield said.

The 2025 Family Expo will be held April 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at Shuford Fields on Calumet Drive in LaGrange.
