The Callaway girls soccer team blasted Lithonia 9-1 on Tuesday. It was a special night for the Cavaliers beyond the final score as they got the chance to celebrate three senior soccer players — Anna Morales, Trisha Patel and Bianka Sola — on senior night.

All three seniors got in on the fun with a goal each. Sola opened the scoring in the 7th minute and the Cavaliers never slowed down from there. Patel scored her goal later in the first half while Morales chipped a ball over the keeper for the eighth goal of the game for Callaway. Sola finished the game with two assists, while Patel and Morales had one each.

Sofia Flores was at the heart of the Cavalier attack and finished the game with four goals. Becca Bryan and Zoe Molina both got in on the fun with a goal apiece.

Alayna Leithleiter made two saves in goal.

Lithonia scored its only goal in the final minutes when Callaway had already emptied out its bench.

Callaway improved to 12-5 overall while remaining 6-4 in region play. The Cavaliers will return to action on Thursday as the team closes out the regular season with a road game against Luella.
