The LaGrange girls tennis team cruiaed into the Region 2-3A tournament semifinals, trouncing Sandy Ceek 4-1 in the first round on Tuesday.

 

Girls Individual Results:

No. 1 Singles: Arizma Virani (SC) defeated Anna Claire Lumpkin (LG) 6 – 1, 6 – 1

No. 2 Singles: Dana Song (LG) defeated Skye Jones (SC) 6 – 3, 6 – 3

No. 3 Singles: Yerim Kim (LG) defeated Ginny Phan (SC) 6 – 1, 6 – 1

No. 1 Doubles: Ava Wallace and Elly Sanchez (LG) defeated Jaida Hatcher and Rachael

Kireria (SC) 6 – 1, 6 – 1

No. 2 Doubles: Madi Del Angel and Addison Adams defeated Kendall Thompson and

Dalilah Johnson (SC) 6 – 0, 6 – 1

 

LaGrange improved to 13-8 overall and 8-1 in region play. The Grangers will play a yet-to-be-announced opponent at 9:30 a.m. in Macon on Wednesday or the Region 2-3A semifinals. The winner of that match will play for the region championship. The boys will play Mary Persons in the semifinals at the same time in Macon.
