On Saturday, Ridley Avenue in Downtown LaGrange was filled with artisans, entrepreneurs and makers for the fourth annual Spring Artisan Market.
The annual event that brings crafters and fun to the streets of LaGrange in a fun festival atmosphere is put on by Emberglow in partnership with the Downtown LaGrange Development Authority and the city.
This year’s market saw about 70 vendors, 15 food trucks and live music filling downtown.
Organizer Nikki Franklin, owner of Embreglow, said the event was once again a huge success, bringing people downtown and offering an opportunity for makers to share their wares.
“The market itself was everything I’ve ever wished for,” Franklin said. “The vision definitely came true, and the ability to be able to give back to this community and offer makers and small business owners the same opportunity just warms my heart.”
Franklin said this year’s artisan market superseded the previous numbers from two years ago, so it was one of the larger markets.
“It went extremely well. The makers and the vendors are ecstatic. We had several vendors that sold out. Several had triple-prepared for this market, and they still sold out,” Franklin said, noting many told her this was the best market that they’ve ever attended.
Next year’s artisan market is already in the works. The 2026 Spring Artisan Market is planned for April 25, 2026.
“It’s always the last Saturday in April. That’s when it has been for the last three years,” Franklin said.
Franklin said next year, she hopes to have an expanded area for kids. The market had a kids’ area. The market has always been family-friendly, but over the years, they have added a Kids Corner. Anything with fun for kids is always a big hit for parents.
“I would like to expand that area, not for them necessarily to sell items, but to just have more of a kid zone with activities for kids to do,” Franklin said.
Franklin said she also plans to work on expanding the food options so that they can have all different types of food, especially vegan options.
“That was a big request this year, a few additional vegan food trucks, and just have different options for different people. I think that will definitely be important,” Franklin said.
