The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of Authentix Apartments with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday morning.

The new apartment complex features one, two and three-bedroom apartments along with studio units starting at around $1,100 per month. The modern-styled apartment homes are equipped with in-home washer and dryers and other energy-efficient appliances and hardwood-style flooring.

Other shared amenities include an on-site pet playground and a pet spa area, a heated saltwater resort-style swimming pool, outdoor barbecue area and sun deck, community clubhouse with WiFi and 24-hour fitness center.

Developer Trent Turner, of Continental Properties, said the company was interested in LaGrange due to the strong employment here from multinational and national companies.

“When we identified this opportunity, we felt like there was a need for more intense quality, new housing solution,” Turner said. 

Turner said they felt that there was a need for more workforce, or attainable homes, in the community. He stressed that Authentix has classic-style apartment homes relative to existing ones around town.

Turner said Continental became interested in LaGrange after hearing great things about the city and Troup County.

“Everyone would tell us, ‘Hey, you need to go check out what’s going on in LaGrange and Troup County. There are just so many jobs down there the people are great,’ and that’s been our experience,” Turner said

“We have never experienced the hospitality that Troup County has presented for us, and it’s been a great partnership so far with city leadership and county leadership. The turnout here for this ribbon-cutting ceremony is very indicative of you,” Turner said, noting the large crowd that showed up for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“We’re the number nine developer in the country. Last year we broke ground on over 3500 units,” Turner said. “In our experience, we’ve never been treated like this and it’s great.”
