Local author and pastor Dr. Israel Barsh has a new edition of his book, Millionaire Status, coming out. 

The self-help paperback combines faith, personal mindset and economic principles to improve one’s life.

“It’s about the economic shift, how to create wealth, how to break the spirit of poverty and oppression,” Barsh said.

Barsh said the thesis of the book is breaking poverty, oppression and creating a wealth mindset.

“It’s a faith book, from the Book of Job, that is to shift people in their thought process, real metaphysics for shifting in the thought process concerning economics,” Barsh said.

In the book, Barsh discusses the need for a radical shift in consciousness; in the way we think and process information about God, ourselves, our potential and possibilities, wealth, and our desire for it. He provides practical steps towards the development of what he refers to as “millionaire consciousness,” giving profiles on current and past millionaires and billionaires. 

Barsh has written three books and is working on a fourth. The new edition of Millionaire Status is currently available on Amazon.

Barsh said he plans to have local book signings in the future, but he really wants to get it taught to young people.

“I want to get this book in colleges, high schools. I’m trying to get it to LaGrange High to teach it over there,” Barsh said, “it’s a book of goals. It’s a broad spectrum, with faith, high school mentoring youth and concerning economic shifts.”

Barsh said he is targeting colleges for the book now, and said the book’s message is for everyone, both young and older people.
