The LaGrange girls tennis team saw its season come to a close on Wednesday with a 3-0 loss to Oconee County in the semifinals of the 3A state playoffs.

The Grangers pushed the Warriors, but ultimately did not have enough in the tank to defeat the powerhouse from Athens.

It was a highly successful season for LaGrange as the team won the Region 2-3A championship, made it all the way to the Final 4 and finished with an overall record of 18-9 in 2025.

Individual Results:

 No. 1 Singles: Cadence Keese (OC) defeated Ana Rollings (LG) 6 – 0, 6 – 1

No. 2 Singles: Jenny Hu (OC) defeated Anna Claire Lumpkin (LG) 6 – 1, 6 – 0

No. 3 Singles: Dana Song (LG) vs. Mary Linda Veit (OC) pulled with Oconee County winning first set 6 – 1, and LaGrange winning second set 6 – 4

No. 1 Doubles: Ellie Johnson and Neetyaa Patel (OC) defeated Ava Wallace and Elly Sanchez (LG) 6 – 2, 7 – 5

No. 2 Doubles: Madi Del Angel and Addison Adams (LG) vs. Hayden Stoltz and Caroline Smith (OC) pulled with LaGrange winning the first set 7 – 6 (7 – 3) and leading in the second set 5 – 3

WHAT’S NEXT:

LaGrange will return almost its entire roster in 2026. The Grangers will be losing just one member of their starting lineup — senior Ana Rollings.

Expectations next season will be sky high as the Grangers reload and look to make a run at a state championship.
