On May 19, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Officers responded to 99 Keyes Street Apartment A, regarding a person stabbed.

Upon arrival, Officers contacted the victim. They stated that an argument began between the victim, a male, and his cousin Tamika Cofield. He stated that Cofield then retrieved a knife and stabbed him. The victim received non-life-threatening injuries. He struck Cofield in self-defense, and she sustained injuries as a result. Both parties were treated at a local hospital.

A one year old child was present during the incident and did not receive any injuries.

The Criminal Investigation Division was contacted to respond to the scene and to conduct an investigation. Cofield was taken into custody for aggravated assault and cruelty to a child in the third degree.
