On May 27, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers from the LaGrange Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot victim at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center, located at 1514 Vernon Road. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, identified as Adrian Ransom. Mr. Ransom reported that he had been attending a graduation party at an unidentified residence on Ware Street when a verbal altercation broke out among several attendees. According to his statement, as he was walking away from the disturbance, he heard three to four gunshots and was subsequently struck by a bullet in his upper leg, causing him to fall. He was then transported to the hospital by another individual present at the gathering for medical treatment.

In response, officers conducted a canvass of the Ware Street area and spoke with several residents. Those interviewed stated they were unaware of any party in the vicinity and did not report hearing gunfire at the time in question.

The LaGrange Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division was notified and has assumed responsibility for the investigation, which remains active and ongoing.
