Mr. Jake Calvin Sessions Jr. passed away Thursday.
He was born June 20, 1950, to Dorothy Louise Sessions and the late Jake Calvin Sessions in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia.
He was a graduate of East Depot High School and Fort Valley State College, receiving his bachelor’s degree.
Jake enjoyed a thirty-plus career as a Radio and Television personality, hosting his show “Up All Night with Jakes Sessions”.
Survivors include his grandchildren: Braylen Hardy and Vala LaShun Hardy; god-daughter, Angelina Grant; mother, Dorothy Sessions Russell; siblings: JeWayne Sessions, David Sessions, Veda Sessions-Pearson, Vivian Sessions, Rena Sessions, Aronda Sessions-Robinson, Consandra Sessions-Wade, Veta Edwards-Hrobowski, William Edwards; brothers-in-law, Dwayne Wade, Eric Robinson, Chris Hrobowski; sister-in-law, Monica Edwards; uncles, William Hill, Robert Hill, Robert Brown; aunt, Shirley Brown; nieces, nephews, special friends.
The Service will be Friday at 3:00 PM at Warren Temple UM Church.
The excellent care of Mr. Sessions is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
