Ready for a new lunch reservation? Midnyt Burger at Wild Leap Brew Co. is expanding its hours to offer lunch.

The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the change with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week.

Jesse and Wendy Brewer run Midnight Burger. It’s essentially a food truck/restaurant with a twist. The business is connected with Wild Leap Brewery in Downtown LaGrange. You order burgers and other food from the bar at Wild Leap, and they bring it to you inside.

Midnyt Burger officially opened in February of last year, and it has been a hit, offering real food to go along with Wild Leap’s tasty brews.

For those unfamiliar, Midnyt is known for its smash burgers and fries and its house Midnyt burger sauce. It’s a mayo and ketchup-based burger sauce with some other secret ingredients. Wendy says everybody loves it.

“Honestly, since we’ve been open, we have not found one person, not one, to ever say anything bad about it,” Wendy said.

Jesse said they recently added chicken sandwiches as well.

On a busy night, Jesse said they pump out 200-plus burgers and tons of loaded fries. Midnyt and Wild Leap are hoping that success translates to lunch as well.

Wild Leap co-founder Anthony Rodriguez said they had been wanting the brewery to be open for lunch for a long time, but were waiting for the time to be right.

“We’re so excited to be opening for lunch and for the longtime dream to actually be able to have something like that. We open seven days a week, and it took a minute for that to happen, to have such a great staff. It’s great people working for us, and to now have a collaboration that allows us to have food and be able to open Wild Leap earlier in the day, every day. That’s super exciting for us,” Rodriguez said.

Wild Leap CEO Chris Elliott said bringing food in and having Midnyt at the brewery has helped tremendously.

“We decided to wait until the food was at the same quality level that people come to expect of our beer, and dialed in that menu,” Elliott said.

“We’ve always had it kind of in the background when we’re open normally, but now we’ve actually decided to expand our hours for the purpose of selling burgers,” he said.

Wild Leap and Midnyt are now open at 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday and at noon on Sundays.
