On June 2, Troup County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested three juveniles in connection with a total of 35 different entering auto cases.
Three juveniles, two 14 years of age and one 15 years of age, were charged with 52 total felonies ranging from theft to entering auto and firearms charges.
According to TCSO, the cases began in March through June 1 and allegedly occurred at various locations in Troup County and possibly other jurisdictions.
TCSO investigators are currently working with other agencies in an attempt to connect these juveniles to other crimes they are actively investigating.
Deputies say some stolen property has been recovered and investigators have been in contact with the victims to return the items..
TCSO warns that In a majority of these incidents, the victims reported that their vehicle was left unlocked. It’s a good reminder to always lock your vehicle and never leave items of value in the vehicle when unattended, the department says.
Sheriff James Woodruff thanked his deputies for their work in the cases in which the investigation remains ongoing.
“I want to thank my excellent team of investigators who have been working tirelessly to try and find those responsible for these crimes and charge them accordingly,” Woodruff said.
