On June 8, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers from the LaGrange Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at 105 Seminary Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered that seven individuals had sustained gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical services were promptly dispatched, and all victims were transported to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center for treatment. Unfortunately, one of the victims, identified as 19-year-old Javeon Dukes, was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival at the hospital. The current medical status of the remaining victims varies; some have been treated and released, while others continue to receive care.

The Criminal Investigations Division was notified and has assumed responsibility for the ongoing investigation. Authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those involved.
