Betty Reese Reisinger

Betty Reese Reisinger passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 90. Betty was born in Newnan on October 29, 1934 and lived in LaGrange. While she loved living in LaGrange, she enjoyed visiting Lake Martin, Tallassee, Wetumpka, Biloxi, and the Smoky Mountains.

Betty worked as a registered nurse throughout Alabama and Georgia for over fifty-five years. After retiring, Betty gardened, sewed, and enjoyed being a grandmother. She was always lending an ear to others’ problems and offering no-nonsense solutions. She is famous for her cooking skills except for an occasional cake explosion.

She is survived by her sons, Eric Reisinger (Selena)and Karl Reisinger (Laura); bonus son, Obed Barrientos (Andrea); brother Don Reese (Greta); notable cousins, Connie Slaton (Donnie) and Suzanne Lybrand (Reggie); six grandchildren, Reese Reisinger (Brandi), Evan Wiedholz, TerriAnn Williams (Josh), Clanton Reisinger, David Barrientos, Karen Barrientos, and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clanton S. and Eugenia B. Reese and her daughter, Terri Ann Reisinger Morris.

The celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, GA. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from noon until service time.
