Helen Louise Beam Cash

Helen Louise Beam Cash, age 92, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025 under Wellstar Hospice Care.

Mrs. Cash, born March 29, 1933, was the daughter of the late Oscar Beam and Vera Hanson Beam.

She moved to LaGrange from Bowdon, GA at the age of 13. She retired from the Dunson Division of West Point Stevens after 42 years of dedicated service. She was an active member of Dunson Baptist Church for many years. Helen and her late husband Herschel enjoyed traveling. She loved to sew and participated in the Hogansville Hummingbird Festival for 20 years. The most important thing in Helen’s life was her family. She was affectionately known as “Mama Cash” by so many.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Herschel Edward Cash; one sister, Margaret Woodard and brother-in-law Lawrence Woodard; one brother, Hollis Beam and sister-in-law Barbara Beam Eades; one daughter-in-law, Tia Tanco Cash; and one nephew, Mark Woodard.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Cash of LaGrange, GA; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steve Cash of Tyrone, GA, and Randy and Jennie Cash of LaGrange, GA; three grandchildren, their spouses and great-grandchildren, Stephene (Cash) and Joshua Pollard and their children, Wiley James, Josie Louise, Cash Joshua & Reagan Lia Pollard of Luthersville, GA; Clinton and Madeline Cash and their son, Stratton Hollis Cash of Roswell, GA; Tawn (Hall) and Thomas West of Cedar Park, TX ; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Cole officiating.

Entombment will follow at the Shadowlawn Mausoleum.
