LPD homicide investigation needs community assistance

The LaGrange Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in an ongoing homicide investigation. On June 8, 2025, Javeon Dukes, age 19, was tragically killed in the area of Seminary Street under circumstances that remain unclear.
LPD is urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in or around the area during the time frame of 12:30 A.M. and 1:00 A.M. to come forward – no detail is too small. Even something that may seem insignificant could be the missing piece that helps bring justice to the victim and closure to the family.
If you were in the area, have surveillance footage, dashcam video, or heard something relevant—please reach out. You can remain anonymous. LPD needs your help.
This is not just a case number – it’s about a real person, whose life was unjustly taken. Help LPD give this family the answers they deserve.
