The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce celebrated a growing local business with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for West Georgia Deep Clean on Wednesday at the chamber office.

Owner and operator Stacey Long said he has been in the cleaning business since he was a kid.

“I’ve been doing this since I was 13 years old, but we’ve been open for a little over a year and a half,” Long said. “I cleaned dentist offices with my mom after hours when I was a teenager.”

Long said he has the experience, but working for other people pushed him to set out on his own and start the business.

“I ran other people’s businesses for about nine years in the county area, so I decided it was time to do that for myself,” Long said.

West Georgia Deep Clean offers a variety of cleaning and janitorial services, but they specialize in deep cleaning.

“We do commercial and residential cleaning, janitorial, with some scope that’s outside of that, such as hoarding and things of that nature,” Long said.

Long said they essentially do everything except things that you have to have a specialty license for, like hazardous material cleaning.

They offer commercial cleaning solutions, including everything from banks and medical buildings to larger spaces like automotive dealerships. For homes, West Georgia Deep Cleans offers cleaning plans or just a one-time deep cleaning service.

The company also helps out with Airbnb and other short-term rentals. Whether it’s one short-term rental property or multiple, West Georgia Deep Clean is there to help. The company currently maintains cleaning for several units weekly, so they understand the needs for short-term rentals.

Long said the cleaning company has been a big success during its first year and a half, and they are growing rapidly.
