Mr. John Michael “Mike” Carrington, age 76, of LaGrange, passed away on June 12, 2025.
Mr. Carrington was born on July 25, 1948 in LaGrange to the late W.J. Carrington and Zelma Johnston Carrington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Roberts Carrington, a son, Michael Shane Carrington and a brother, David Carrington.
Survivors include his son, Clinton Colin Carrington and his wife Brittany; sister, Ann Adams and her husband, Roger; grandchildren, Shawn Carrington, Janae Coker (Dylan), Callie Longoria (Riley), Cayla Carrington, Harlie Foster, Hayden Foster and Henley Carrington; great-grandchildren, Bradley, Rhett, Deliah, Blakeleigh and Kolton; extended family.
Mike was a man whose strong hands built more than just homes, he built a legacy. He spent his entire career in construction, where his dedication, work ethic, and know-how earned him the respect of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. Whether pouring concrete or framing walls, Mike approached every job with pride and precision.
When he wasn’t on a job site, you could find him in his garden, where he found peace in the dirt and joy in watching things grow. He was also a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed deer hunting and chasing the wild turkey.
