Nashville-based Americana singer-songwriter Will Hoge will be performing at Pure Life House of Music Friday, June 20th at 7:30 PM.
Hoge released his 14th studio album, Tenderhearted Boys, on April 14, 2025. This album marks a significant milestone in Hoge’s already impressive career, as he not only wrote and performed all the songs, but also produced the entire record and played every instrument himself.
Hoge’s career began with major-label interest, leading to early albums that showcased his raw talent and songwriting prowess. However, feeling constrained by the industry’s expectations, he ultimately chose to embrace independence, a decision that allowed him greater creative control and artistic freedom. This move proved pivotal, enabling him to explore diverse sonic landscapes and delve deeper into the themes that mattered most to him.
Over the course of his career, Will Hoge has become a respected and influential figure in the Americana music scene. His songs, often characterized by their heartfelt lyrics, roots-rock sound, and gritty realism, have earned him critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase. He’s known for his electrifying live performances, where his passion and energy are palpable.
A pivotal moment in Hoge’s career arrived with ‘Even If It Breaks Your Heart.’ While Hoge’s own version resonated with fans, it was the Eli Young Band’s rendition that propelled the song to #1 on the country charts. This success brought Hoge significant recognition, including nominations from the Country Music Association (CMA), the Academy of Country Music (ACM), and the Grammy Awards.
“I had listened to Will Hoge’s music and knew of him through friends and other venue owners, “say’s Maggie McDonald owner/operator of Pure Life House of Music, “but nothing prepared me for his live performance.” He was engaging and mesmerizing. I was hooked.”
Will Hoge has carved a unique path in the music industry, prioritizing artistic integrity over fleeting fame. His career, spanning over two decades, showcases a commitment to authentic songwriting and a pioneering spirit within the Americana genre, predating its recognition as a Grammy category.
