Sarah Brooks Powell, 29, died June 21, 2025.
Born and raised in LaGrange, Georgia, she was the daughter of Jon Manley Weston Powell and Donna Arndt Powell.
She was a graduate of LaGrange High School, attended the University of Georgia and graduated magna cum laude from LaGrange College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychological Science.
She worked in the banking industry as a Universal Banker.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Jon Brooks Powell; her brother, Weston Lewis Powell; and her grandfather, George L. Powell of Salem, South Carolina; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Sarah Jane Powell and John and Frances Arndt.
The family is at her parents’ home in LaGrange.
A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand, 706-884-5626
