The annual Independence Day fireworks show at Pyne Road Park will return on Friday.
Troup County Parks and Recreation will again play host to the Fourth of July celebration with its annual tradition of lighting up the night sky above West Point Lake.
The fireworks show at Pyne Road Park will be held on Thursday, July 4. Gates will open at 3 p.m. with an entry cost of $10 per vehicle (cash only).
Organizers encourage visitors to come early as parking is limited. The park will close once capacity is reached.
Vendors will be on site to sell food and beverages, but as always, patrons are free to bring their own food.
The fireworks are set to start once the sun goes down. Before the show, Hogansville native country/southern rock band Eley Road is scheduled to perform at the event, taking the stage at 6 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and the whole family to view the fireworks show with a spectacular background view of West Point Lake. Organizers say boats, trailers, pop-up tents and pets are not allowed in the parking area for the event.
The event is sponsored by Auto Gallery and Troup County Parks & Recreation.
Pyne Road Park is located at 4481 Roanoke Road in LaGrange.
