On July 5, 2025, at approximately 9:46 p.m., LaGrange Police responded to 1600 Meadow Terrace, Cameron Crossing Apartments, in reference to a person shot. Officers arrived on-scene to find a large crowd of people at the pool. Officers began rendering aid to the victim, who was transported to an Atlanta area hospital where the victim is being treated. It was determined that the crowd did not have authorization from management at Cameron Crossing to have said party and were trespassing on the property.

The Criminal Investigations Division was notified and has assumed responsibility for the investigation.
