LaGRANGE — LaGrange continues to fall further behind leading cities Jacksonville, Illinois, and Watkinsville, Georgia, and Moore, Oklahoma, is closing in.

The city is competing for a $100,000 private grant from pet product manufacturer PetSafe, which is earmarked specifically to fund a dog park in the winning community. LaGrange leaders plan to expand Granger Park to add the dog park if the city wins.
