First Assembly of God, 1700 S. Davis Road in LaGrange, will host a meeting to help people with credit at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 3.

The focus of the meeting is to help people learn about the importance of a good credit rating and introduce them to some practical steps to help them begin that process, said Jason Branson, pastor of First Assembly of God.

Jerry Johnson of LaGrange First Realty and Tammy Cox of Heritage Bank Mortgage are working with the church for the event and will be speaking.

“We will not be selling any product, nor will we be endorsing any company,” Branson said. “This meeting is designed to help people to begin to thing differently about this subject, and to determine what program would most benefit the attendees.”
