LAGRANGE – Troup’s Drew Duram raced to the top spot in a cross-country meet against county foe Callaway last week.

It was the second meet that was held on Troup’s reconfigured 3.1-mile course, and Duram posted a time of 19 minutes, 18 seconds to lead the way.

Troup’s Zach Snodgrass (20:12) was second, and Gabe Liranzo (20:12) was Callaway’s top finisher in third place.

Troup’s Ryan Fuller (20:13) and Kole Murphy (20:21) rounded out the top five, and Callaway’s Chase Drake (20:33) was sixth.

In seventh was Troup’s Tyler Meadows (20:40), Callaway’s Kaine Pike (21:29) was eighth, and Troup’s Aaron Rensenhouse (21:29) and Kyle Cason (22:03) completed the top 10.

In the girls’ race, it was Callaway’s Sierra Jones (24:09) crossing the finish line first, and she was followed by Troup’s Lila Phurrough (24:44).

The next seven runners were all from Callaway.

Following MacKenzie Scott (26:32) in third place were Stefany Park (26:38), Megan Scott (26:59), Judy Kim (27:04), Shania Reeves (28:07), Taylor Townsend (28:29) and Lindsey Cho (29:02).

In 10th place was Troup’s Abby Barintine (29:48).
