Vendors and shoppers fill the Callaway Conference Center during the 2014 Merry Market event. This year’s market, set for Thursday to Saturday, kicks off at the center Thursday with a preview party and silent auction 5–8 p.m. for $30, which includes food, beverage, entertainment, a first chance to shop and admission for the weekend. One-day general admission for Friday is 9 a.m.–7 p.m. or Saturday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Proceeds benefit United Way school readiness programs.

LaGRANGE — The early sounds of holiday cheer are set to start Thursday at the Callaway Conference Center on Fort Drive as the fifth annual Merry Market kicks off.

United Way of West Georgia hosts the Merry Market Weekend Shopping Extravaganza, which starts with a preview party and silent auction Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost to enter Thursday is $30 and includes admission for the entire weekend, plus early shopping, food, beverage and entertainment.

The market continues Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost for a one-day ticket is $5.

The market features area vendors selling wares with proceeds to benefit United Way school readiness programs.
