LaGRANGE — Investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday they charged a man for breaking into two area businesses.

According to a report, Trenton Hill, 20, of Roanoke, Alabama, was charged with two counts of burglary in the first degree.

TCSO investigators say the man allegedly broke into the Tall Tales Bait Shop on Wares Cross Roads and the Marathon gas station on Roanoke Road on an earlier date.

Deputies also found Hill in possession of numerous stolen items. They said those items were returned to the victim’s in Troup County.

Hill is currently in the Carroll County Jail in Carrollton on other burglary charges, investigators said.

TCSO investigators also arrested and charged Jamie Chappell, 41, of Coweta County, after he was found in possession of stolen property shortly after he broke into a local business.

According to investigators, Chappell forged a check he took from the burglary.

Chappell was charged with one count of Burglary and one count of Identity Fraud. He was arrested and has since bonded out of the Troup County Jail.
