LaGRANGE — With November being Parent Engagement Month, Troup County School System officials are continuing to encourage parents, grandparents, guardians and community members to get involved.
Throughout the month, all schools are offering opportunities for parents to come to school to learn about their child’s education and activities that happen throughout the day. For example, Franklin Forest Elementary had a lunch and learn where they invited parents to eat lunch with their child and then practice on math, social studies and other subjects that their child is involved in.
Each parent rotated to different stations with their child to have hands-on experiences in each curriculum area. Parents saw firsthand what their children were learning and students were thrilled to have their parents participate.
Parents can continue to check calendars, school websites and communications sent home to learn more about these opportunities.
