LaGRANGE — Kate and Corey, a singer-songwriter duet performing Americana music, are set to take the stage at Pure Life Studios for a Friday night concert.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. with a local musician Nick Mayfield as the opening artist. The concert is a $15 cash donation at the door. Reservations are recommended due to limited seating, according to Maggie McDonald, Pure Life’s owner.
“Kate and Corey blew us away the first time they performed here,” McDonald said. “They have powerful voices, are great musicians and they have great chemistry with the audience — they are truly infectious.”
Award-winning Kate and Corey walked away with the Northeast Regional Title, as well as an all-expense paid trip to the National Final of the 31st Annual Texaco Country Showdown in Nashville, Tennessee, in January 2013, according to the contest’s website. Before advancing to the state level, Kate & Corey won their local competition representing radio station WQRS in New York state.
